Foreword
The 6th Congress of the Asian
Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (AFSUMB)
was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on the 23rd-26th
October 2001. This was the first meeting of the AFSUMB in the new
millennium. The meeting was held under the AFSUMB in association with the
Malaysian Society of Ultrasound in Medicine.
These proceedings contain most of the plenary and
refresher courses. There are also abstracts of free papers published. It
is an achievement that all the hard work of the eminent speakers from
around the world has not been lost but well documented and the latest in
ultrasound technology and practice are presented. We hope that these
proceedings would be of valuable assistance and current reference to all
those who use ultrasound in their daily practice.
